In preparation for the SharePoint migration, it is recommended to unlink all your synced SharePoint libraries. They will get a new location, and the current links will become obsolete.
- Open OneDrive Settings by clicking on the blue cloud icon on the bottom right of your screen.
- Now click on the “gear” icon to access settings.
3. In the next screen click on the “Account” tab.
4. You will see your linked OneDrive account and all the synced SharePoint libraries. Don’t unlink your OneDrive account as these are your personal files on your computer. They won’t be migrated.
5. Click on “Stop sync” next to a library. A pop up will appear to confirm the action.
6. Do this for all linked libraries. Now you are ready for the migration! When the new SharePoint is up and running you will be able to sync them again.
7. To avoid any conflict with your files when you are syncing them again from the new SharePoint location. Be sure to delete the folders from Windows Explorer:
8. To check if the sync is successfully stopped check if the "Status" column is empty and does not contain a cloud icon or checkmark icon next to the folders. Then you can delete them.
If you see one of the following icon's next to the folders, they are still synced. Go back to step 5 to confirm and remove the synced folders.
