Since July 26 2022 we use Teams to make phone calls with our Arnhem 026 number and receive them as well. To use this you do not need to be at the office.
We switched to a new provider to add call functionality and lower the costs. We shall retreive the DECT handsets and send them back to the old provider.
On a laptop
Click on the calls icon and a dial pad appears and Contact's tab.
Type a name(part) to select your contact or add / paste a phone number and click on the Call button. Your work number, which you used with the DECT handset, is also visible.
On a call, a new window opens. On the upper bar is a 10 dot icon to enter numbers and the usual * or #.
Use the 3 dot icon to get options to Hold the call, Transfer or Consult and transfer.
The History list shows all call activities either by phone or just Teams. Move your mouse to the call, click on the 3 dots and choose your option.
In a browser
The look and feel is almost the same as with the app on the laptop.
Exept the options of the 3 and 10 dot icons. They appear in a small taskbar in the center of the window when you move your mouse or touch a key.
On a smartphone
Open the Teams app and choose the Call option.
The app opens with the same History as on your laptop.
Use the call+ icon in the upper right corner for a new call, or select a previous call from the list.
With the app's on your smartphone and laptop you could smoothly switch from device and make phone calls with your 026 number.
Team calls are billed to Agriterra.
In case you use a private smartphone on the go, calls consumes your data credit and could lead to extra costs depending on your subscription. Use WiFi when possible.
